- Cancellation after Artwork Begins
Clients make a non refundable 50% deposit of the full price before artwork commences. If clients wish to cancel after artwork starting, the deposit is retained to cover all materials, time spent, office administration and client emails.
- Full Payment before finished portrait is shipped to customer
Full payment must be made before the finished portrait is shipped. I invoice the final payment on Completion and approval of the customer and ship the portrait after receiving payment.
- Cancellation of Completed Artwork Before Shipping
If you wish to cancel on completion after having paid the final payment but before being shipped, 25% of the full price is refunded.
- Rejection of Portrait Once Shipped
On receiving an approved portrait you have 7 days to contact me about any changes required. If the portrait needs to be returned for alterations the client must meet the costs of shipping both ways. If after the changes have been made the customer is still not happy and would like a refund the customer can return the portrait to me to receive a 25% refund of the full price. Shipping costs are no refunded.
If a customer receives an approved portrait and wishes to have a refund but declines the opportunity for me to make changes, a refund will only be made once the customer has returned the portrait to me in its original condition, in original packaging within 7 days. I will refund 25% of the full price. Shipping costs are not refunded.
- Currency Exchange
Prices are quoted in UK pounds. Conversions of my prices can be seen on my prices page. If you reside outside the UK your credit card company should exchange the amount charged to the currency of your country at the current rate. Please note that payments and refunds are in UK pounds and we cannot be held responsible for any loss due to exchange rate fluctuations.
- Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are non refundable and are valid for 2 years from the purchase date. When redeeming, recipients who wish to add to their voucher will be purchasing on my current price list.
- Free Delivery
I deliver the completed portrait worldwide Free of charge. If approved portraits are returned to me for alterations shipping is charged for delivery of an altered portrait.
- Damage in Transit
I pack my portraits to a very high standard, however in the unlikely event your portrait is damaged, please photograph the packaging and artwork and email me immediately. The artwork is to be returned to me in its original packaging at the clients cost. Once received I will repaint the portrait at no extra cost. The lead time will depend on my client list at that time.
I retain copyright on all artwork I produce and reserve the right to use my paintings on the 1stportraits website and for promotional material. I do not sell merchandise or allow anyone else use my work for profit or non profit. If clients are uncomfortable having their artwork or emails displayed on my website, please let me know upon ordering.
I will not sell, share, distribute or lease your personal information to any third parties.
- Payments via Paypal
Payments for portraits are conducted via Paypal on the 1stportraits website. Paypal. PayPal is an online payment service which allows organisations and individuals to make and receive online payments between accounts without the need to exchange bank account or credit card details.
- To open a PayPal account you will need an email address and also a bank account or credit card.
- It’s free to open a PayPal account and in general it’s free to use it to make payments, for example when buying something from a website.
